Files and Settings Transfer

I've just added a new computer to home network. The "old" computer is only a
few months older and is still part of the network. I understand the
concept/method of transferring the files and settings as well as file
sharing. However, when the files and settings are collected from the old
computer, does this mean they are being removed or just copied from the old
computer and will still be on it?

Copied.

And I suggest running the Files and Settings Wizard from your CD - not from
each individual Windows XP Installed system. You can save the result and
import the result from where-ever - but you have less chance of having
issues crop up if you use the version on the CD - ensuring you utilize the
SAME EXACT version each time.
