file type conversion

Hi All,

I have had a problem with the boot drive on a friends machine running Xp Pro
(SP2).
Windows reports that the filesystem is RAW. This was originally a NTFS
volume.
How can I restore it to the original file system?

Hi,

I tried a system restore but Xp setup wanted to format the disk, the last
thing I wanted.
I see no mention of RAW format on the iRecovery site, ant idea what this
format is?
Is it a version of FAT?
I would be grateful for any other suggestions.
