MS Excel Newsgroup:

I created two files in the form of Tables. One is a single page and contains
762 Kb memory. The other is at least four pages, depending on the printing
selection, and it contains only 77 Kb memory.

Can anyone enlighten me about this to improve my understanding of MS Excel?

Thanks,
Bernie Beal.

On the larger file, CRTL + End to see where Excel takes you.

Excel is notorious for over-estimating the "used range" if data was entered
then deleted/cleared from the far reaches of the sheet..

If far below and/or to the right of your "real" data range, select all rows
below the real range and Edit>Delete>Entire Rows.

Do the same for columns to the right.

SAVE and CLOSE then re-open the workbook. What size is it now?
