File Size too big.

Hi. I've prepared a presentation with audio in PP 2003, and saved as a
package to CD. It's running smoothly, but it's a little too big. I need it
to be under 50MB to fit on a business card cd, but it's about 53mb now. Any
suggestions on tweeking it? I think the music is the source of the problem...
I "ripped it" using audioripper. Is there a way to reduce it as well? I
appreciate any help!

Thanks,
Donna

Donna:

You're probably right that the audio file size is the culprit. Check the
link that Terry has provided and make sure that the issue isn't bitmap
images that are embedded in the presentation. If that's not it, you'll need
to shrink the size of the audio file.

I'm guessing that audioripper saved it as a .wav file. Those are kind of
large and inefficient (although they sound great). Instead, save it as an
..mp3 file. PowerPoint likes these just fine and the files sizes can be
substantially smaller. Choose a data rate that gets you below your 50MB
target size.

Good luck!
