File size needs to be reduced

Mike M.

I have an 11MB excel file that compacts to around 400kB if
zipped. There must be a lot of unused space somewhere,
but I cannot find it.

I used the goto last cell function on each sheet, I
eliminated all unneeded sheets. My file consists of data
queries from access data tables, excel charts, pivot
tables, control (combo boxes mainly) and small amounts of
VB code.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ski

If you hit control-end do you end up in the last cell with
data? I found that when I didn't end up in the last cell
that when I have deleted all the rows and columns to the
right and below my data, then hit save, the file is
reduced considereable.

THanks Ozzie, but this does not help. I think that is the
same thing as using the goto-->special-->last cell
function.
