Has anyone noticed that excel files that contain imported
data are larger in XP than in 97?
Why, any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Kathy,
You may be using the option to save as 97-2003 and 5/95.
This creates two essentially separate workbooks of different formats
within the one file. Bill Manville describes this better than you would
find buried in my pages.

Some other possibilities involve conversions of workbooks from Lotus,
but I don't think you are doing that.

Check your last cell reference Ctrl+End if not near where you think
last cell belongs see

Possibly you turned on highlight changes (tracking updates), which also causes other
problems like not being able to update macros in a shared workbook. I would
avoid this option unless you really need it and would think twice about that.

I see you also posted in worksheet.functions so I'm out of here.
