File sharing

I am connecting a laptop to another computer to be able to share its files,
printer and internet connection. If I set a drive or folder to allow sharing
is it then available to LAN connections only or is it also open it to
connections via the internet. Both machines are running Windows XP and
Norton Internet Security firewall.

Configure Norton Internet Security to allow access to other computers
on the LAN and to deny access to other computers on the Internet.

Problem solved guys.

I just uninstalled NIS, and searched support.microsoft.com using the
keywords "access denied". Did some command lines to activate guest
accounts and find the network drives with Run \\computer-name\folder.
One more thing - try to share a folder under the drive. With all that, now
I could not only have access to the shared directories, but also able to
map the network drives to local directories.
