File sharing lock count exceeded

I am trying to use method 2, to get around the error "File sharing lock
count exceeded…†during large transaction processing.
detials at:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;815281
Under the heading: Method 2: Use the SetOption Method to Temporarily Change
MaxLocksPerFile

I have followed th instructions exactly but still get an error when i run
the macro. The error states: "Compile error: argument not optional"
Does any one know what is causing this?
thanks.

It means you have used a function which has, say, 3 parameters and you have
supplied fewer.
I have only seen this error on Access 97 (earlier DAO than article
reference) over Novell. We did get around it by upping the number of locks at
the Novell level. I haven't used Method 2.
