File Properties

I'd llike to read some file properties from a file from MS Access.

1. On the CUSTOM tab I'd like to be able to read specific items and values
added.
2. I'd like to read the SUBJECT value on the SUMMARY tab.

How can I accomplish this?

Thank You

One more thing to note:

The file I would be examining is a Microsoft Access.ADE 2002 file. No other
file types will be read.

Hello Greg,

I understand that you'd like to read some custom/summary properties of ADE
files. If I'm off-base, please let me know.

Based on my research, you may want to refer to the Dsofile.dll sample file
is an in-process ActiveX component. You can use this in your custom
applications to read and to edit the OLE document properties that are
associated with Microsoft Office files,

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=224351

You shall set a reference to "DSO OLE Document Properties Reader" in VBA
project, and use code like following to do some read

Set DSO = New DSOFile.OleDocumentProperties
DSO.Open FileName, fOpenReadOnly, dsoOptionOpenReadOnlyIfNoWriteAccess
Set oSummProps = DSO.SummaryProperties

If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to let's know.
Thank you.
