I want to have Word display the full file path at the top
of the screen?

Add the following macro

Sub AutoOpen()
ActiveWindow.Caption = ActiveDocument.FullName
End Sub

or if you already have an autoopen macro in normal.dot add the line to it.

Hi candy,

The easy way is to use View|Toolbars and select the 'Web' toolbar. One of
the options for this is an 'Address' view. If you then drag the web toolbar
to a left/right/top/bottom edge of the screen, you can anchor it into
position. You can also customise the toolbar to delete any icons you don't
want.
