file not specified...?

There seems to be a problem with my (DOS?).I can do "dir" for one folder but
not for another!

FYI there is no DOS in XP. XP has a command shell, which uses a 32 bit
program cmd.exe as the command processor, with commands similar to those in
DOS but it's not DOS.

Did you try the command with quotes around the folder name, as suggested
