I'm referring to the Advanced settings windows that makes up the lower
two thirds of the dialog box. Remove the check mark from the "Show
compressed...." (third from the bottom) option.

I'm just being dim (looking for an Advanced Setting button - not the list
which is right in front of me !!)

Unticked 'Show Encrypted and Compressed NTFS Files in Color' and it does
just what I wanted

Hi Gerry

Its just that I find it easier to scan through lots of file names when they
are all the same colour. Not essential but just a bit easier
