Looking here for a file manager with an html preview, or any other program
that lets you browse quickly through a directory of html files. So far,
I'm only aware of two:

FMEdit98 - a good program but quite old
Tracker - preview is at bottom, no option for side panel

Am I missing any? The side panel is a must, and I'm hoping for a
reasonably modern program.

Thanks

Xplorer2 has this, I believe. http://zabkat.com/

Thanks for the rec. I've downloaded and played around a while, but still
can't get a side-by-side preview. When I hit "preview", it shows up in a
tiny box in the lower left corner. What I'm looking for is a split-screen
where the files are on the left side and the previews are on the right
side. Is there a way to do that with this program...that anyone has
figured out?

You can resize the preview pane, both horizontally and vertically
(just drag the splitter bars).

You can also turn off the tree view (on the view menu). This makes the
preview full height.

There is also a regsitry setting that you can change, that makes the
preview pane another full height pane, so you have the treeview on the
left, then the preview pane, then one or two panes showing files.

In all of these configurations, you can always drag the splitter bars,
so you could create a view that had the preview on the left and the
file list on the right, with no treeview at all.

AFAIK there is no way to move the preview pane to the right of the
file list.

Yeah, I finally figured that out after doing a bunch of pane resizing,
turning off the tree, etc....all the same stuff you recommended. Also, the
preview pane doesn't show the whole HTML page, just gives you a sample of
what the page is like. So I guess I'll keep looking. Thanks anyway for
your help.

Not sure what you mean by that -- it shows as much of the page as it
has room for, and provides a scroll bar to see the rest. That's what
any browser does.

Good luck.

Hmmm...it didn't for me...odd.
