FileCheckMD5 is a simple tool to test the integrity of files in a
folder. This a Windows utility that lets you specify a folder to scan
recursively, save MD5 checksums, and then be able to test those same
checksums against those files at a future date. The idea is to have
this on the root folder of a CD-ROM so that the disc can be tested for
defects, giving a definitive answer to the "is it just my computer"
question when someone runs into a problem with their CD.
I would use MD5 and check results against a known MD5 result from a good
file.
Otherwise (or if you don't have MD5 values from the original files), I
don't know.
