File: "Insert as Shortcut" replaced by "Insert as Hyperlink"

Paul Martin

Hi

Sending an RTF format email in Outlook 2000, I was able to send a
shortcut to a file by clicking Insert, File, Insert as Shortcut.

With Outlook 2002, "Insert as Shortcut" appears to be replaced by
"Insert as Hyperlink". Is there anyway to restore the "Insert as
Shortcut"?

Thanks

Paul Martin

No. Shortcuts are blocked file types in Outlook 2002. Hyperlinks are better.

Thanks, Sue

Hyperlinks may be better, but I wish to insert a shortcut. Is there
any way to get around the blocking of links?

Regards

Paul

No. Remember the blocking occurs on the recipient's machine. You cannot
control how the recipient's machine is configured.
