File - i386.....WILL ??

Hi will its caroline....:)

What do you mean point toward the file....i found the file in my
computer....what do you do ???

Please help......caz x

The i386 folder is the basic XP install files. If you don't have an XP CD,
copy this entire folder to CD and put it away. It will be useful if you
have to completely rebuild the machine and did not get an XP CD.

XP should be looking in this folder whenever it installs things. What was
it you were trying to do?

Hi.....i lost the use of my help & support icon in my start up menu and will
denny advised me to look at kellys tips n tricks. In there i tried to do a
scannow scan...but it asked me for windows home ed disc (which i have
lost)....will denny said to look up file i386 and point to that file when i
was asked for disc again but i didnt understand. You say copy file to
disc....o.k. i`ll try that. Do u have anymore advise ?

When scannow asks for the disk, there should be a browse button. Browse to
teh \i386 folder on the C drive and click OK to start the scan.

You say copy file to
disc....o.k. i`ll try that.

That is for backup and recovery purposes.
