file hold by server

I have 3 servers runing in win2000 server (let say Server
A,B,and C). Server B access a file in A. When B
disconected from A, then C conect to A and use that file
also, when C access to server A, the file still hold and
can't use by C. Does any time parameter can we set (time
between B disconected from A so that file can use by
another server)?
