Presuming this is a genuine Excel file (Go to properties and check for an
*.xls extension), I suspect that you have a corrupt file, XL XP and 2003 are
very good at opening corrupt files so I suspect it may be a real problem.
You could try searching the web for file repair tools and hope it is not
gone forever
Did this suddenly start or have you received the file from somewhere else?
