Dear all,

I am using Windows xp SP2 in my PC and found the while the system boots, it
shows only the Advanced Menu options like asking to logon safe mode, safe
mode with networking etc., Even i tried all the options like Last Known Good
configuration, Safe mode and all other options nothing found working and the
system reboots automatically and asking the same option.

So i used with recovery option of win xp setup and used fixmbr and fixboot
command. But it too not worked.

Since i wants the data of the C drive i decided to install another copy of
windows xp in the same drive. But during setup when i selected the C drive to
install the windows xp, it shows all the drives in the PC with file system
(NTFS, FAT32) of other drives and for the C drive it found missing.

So, no other way, i formatted the C Drive.

My question is, Is there any way to recover the file system of particular
drive without damaging the files in that drive ??

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

chandra

Try recovery console again,type:CHKDSK C: /R Type:EXIT When thru,let xp
start.Otherwise,in recovery,type:DiskPart In DiskPart,delete
partition(s),all if
needed,press Esc key,exit recovery,boot to xp cd,install xp.
