perhaps I am not asking the right group, if not, please bear with me! I am
new to Outlook on my new Dell. My question is this: I have emails come in
that are eml other extensions that I can't use in a forum I belong to. In the
forum we can insert gif, jpeg, jpg, png, bmp, and swf. I seem to only be able to
"save as" eml, txt, tst, htm, html. What can I do to use theses? thanks for your
time. This has been frustrating me. Tawnya

What you're doing wrong is saving the entire email, you need to save the
media (gif, jpeg, etc.) from the email then you'll have a file you can
upload to your forum.

Some media will come in as attachments, and there is a paperclip icon on
the message, you can click this to access and save attachments.

Some media comes embedded within the email (where the email is perhaps
formatted as a web page). In those cases you should be able to right-click
on the media (such as a picture) and pick save as. This will give you the
option of getting a file that can be uploaded to your forum.
