File Deletion Issue

R

Ron Patla

I have a development web server on my XP home computer.
I publish to a remote public server. I once did a
synchronize and it copied the indexing files from the
catalog.wci directory on the public server to my
computer. I don't need or want those on my machine. I
deleted them from my computer. Now when I publish
updates I get the message:

File catalog.wci\xxxx exists in the destination server
but does not exist in the current web site. Do you want
FrontPage to remove catalog.wci\xxxx from destination
server?

No I don't! Is there a way to make FrontPage stop trying
to delete those files on the public server?

No. However try the following, create a folder of the same name in your
local web, then convert it to a subweb, then never publish it.
