Hi
I am using widows Vista home premium operating sysrtem on an HP laptop. I
have created 2 administrators and 1 Guest account .Even though i am logged in
with Administratot rights i am not able to create any files in the C:\ Drive.
Getting the message something similar to "Don't have rights to create an
file. Contact Administrator", even if logged in with admin i am getting the
same msg. If i right click on the folder view to create new file with "new"
option context menu ,only "Folder" option is comming "New Text document", "
New shortcut" etc options are also not being listed .
Please let me know how can i solve this problem.
Regards
Srikanth

Hello,

although many see this as a security issue, you should be able to set some
access rights for you.
Right-click C:, choose Properties. Go to the tab Security -> click
Advanced -> tab "Owner" and make sure that your user name is the owner. If
not, click Edit -> choose your name and check "Replace owner on
subcontainers and objects.". -> OK. Then, go back to the Security tab and
click Edit... -> and give yourself and all user groups you belong to the
necessary rights.

I hope it will work.
Greetings,
