File Conversion?

Is there a way in XP Pro that I can convert multiple files from WAV or mp3
to WMA, or will 3rd party software be necessary? If so, which 3rd party
software? I have MusicMatch Plus, but it doesn't seem to support multiple
file conversion to WMA.

Thanks,
Mike

Take a look at this page
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/wm8/encoding.aspx

The Windows Media 8 Encoding Utility, quote Enables Batch Encoding of
Windows Media 8, allowing content developers to encode large numbers of
pre-recorded media files.

Of course you'll need the Windows Media Encoder 8 installed to use it - i
don't know whether there's a similar utility for other versions of the
Windows Media Encoder.

It's only a 635KB download to try.

Martin.

Thanks to all who responded. I wound up buying MediaTwins Software's AED
(Advanced Encode Decode). It supports .WAV to .WMA conversions as well as
many others, and rips from CD to all of its sipported formats.

Thanks again,

Mike
