File Auditing

Hi Guys,
Is it best to starting auditing from the root drives on which the shares are
located, or should I put the auditing on the shares.

I think you start auditing from directory which is shared. If you will start
auditing from root of drive, it audits some unnecessary data which is you
dont need. And consumes system resources very heavily.
