file attributes

i uncheck the radio button on a file that is set to read
only..when i re-open windows explorer i find the read
only attribute has reset itself to read only..how can i
set this attribute change to be permanent?

A file - or a directory (folder)? If the latter, that's normal. Ignore
READ ONLY for a directory.
Files, on the otherhand, can be changed, and should stick.

which file are you trying to do so?
coz' some files are set to be read-only no matter what.
