I recently starting having problems in XP a couple days ago when I tried to
click on a link or any icon associated with the Internet. I get the following
message: "This Files does not have a program association with the performing
action. Create an
association in the folder Options control panel." Does anyone know what this
means and what I can do to fix this. I cannot contact my manufacturer because
they are out of business. PLEASE HELP!

What is your default browser? If IE, use Internet Options> Programs. Click
the Restore Defaults button. If necessary, place a check in the box for IE
to check that it is the default browser. Click OK to close this window. If
any IE window are open, close them. Then launch IE again. Answer "yes" to
the question that appears ("should IE become the default browser"). Things
like internet shortcuts should now work again.

If still no luck, see the following suggestions at "Sandi's Site":
