File assoc

Hi,

on a XP Prof SP3 machine, file types like PDF are not linked when i logon as
a user.
As a local admin they are there.

Why does a user not apply file assoc like pdf?

I want all users to have the file types that are registered in local
admin....

Hi,

problem solved, cause remains unknown.
set HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT perm to:
System Full
Admin full
Benutzer read
Haupt modify

The acrobat key perm were: Admin and system full.
So the user had no right to read the ext.

The question is, why XP didn't set the right permission during installation.
On other XP installations they were...
