I have a small home network with XP home edition as the main server. This
systems is also connected to the internet. 3 printers are connected to the XP
box. On the network I have one more XP box and 2 win 98 systems. Internet
connection sharing works for all systems. The client XP system can see the
printers on the XP server. On the win 98 systems I can not install any of
the printers connected to the XP box. The main XP system does not allow any
file sharing (funny, the client XP box does) When right clicking any of the
folders in windows explorer on the XP system, the "sharing and security..."
option is not even listed. All computers see each other on the network
(remember ICS is working). If I try to add a printer to one of the 98 boxes,
when browsing for the printer, the XP box shows up in the window, when
clicking on it i get the message "\\Compaq is not accessible. No permission
to access resource".
I have tried everyting. Spent hours on trying to solve this problem. Any
help is greatly appreciated.
