One of my software providers suggested I reinstall WINXP
to resolve a problem I had.
During the installing I set up the same user names, i.e.
Billy and Jamie using the same computer name, OFFICE and
work group, MSHOME.
Now I have folders in Documents and Settings called BILLY
and JAMIE and folders with the same name and the
extention- .OFFICE. I also have ALL USERS and DEFAULT
USER and again with an extention- .WINDOWS. The original
folders have all our pictures and documents but I get the
message Access Denied when I try to open them.
How can I get access to the folders? I need my files.

i had the same problem, here, go to the folder, right
click, properties, security, (if u don`t see security, go
to folder options and disable simple file sharing),
advanced, owner, then click replace owner.....voila! ur
dun
