Figure and Table captions while in track changes

If I have track changes turned on and am using captions to autonumber tables
and figures, and cross references to link text to the tables/figures, then
close the document and reopen, all of the cross-refs come out as tracked
changes. Is there any way to prevent this? I have to go back and re-accept
all the cross references each time I open the document.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?TEFD?=,

I think you'd have to lock the fields to prevent them from updating: Ctrl+A,
Ctr+F11. Now you can close and open the document. To let the fields update
again (if you insert a new cross-reference or move things around for example):
turn off track changes, Ctrl+A, Ctrl+Shift+F11, F9 (update).
