Fields do not print

Hi
Wondering if anyone has ever printed a form document but the field does not
print?
(field codes not selected to print nor does it print either).
e.g. Viewing the document = {Doc field} rest of sentence {Doc field}
Printout would show = rest of sentence
Is there a setting in Options or elsewhere that I can check. I am using Word
2002

I should also add that Tools>Options>Print
Include with Document: Hidden Text and Drawing Objects has been enabled.
