Field that is not numeric

I want a field to show $0.00 if it is not numeric. Is this possible?

Use a calculated field as follows:

IIF(IsNumeric([SomeField]),[SomeField],"$0.00")

I'm assuming that the field is a text field that shows values like $124.09,
Unknown, N/A, etc.

You have a field that can store numbers or not-numbers? That doesn't sound
very well normalized...
