i have combed this resource website enough now to know i need to post a
question.

i would like to produce a list of all field names in my tables and queries
(so i can check off the ones i want to see in a report). right now, i am
employing the print screen feature coupled with powerpoint. anything easier?

Not sure I understand what you wnat to do. When you create a report, you
can see all the available fields in "Field List" box. If the fields you
want are not there, modify your data source to include the tables or queries
you need, then look at your Filed List again.

That being said, to print the structure of your tables, queries, etc. you
would use Tools/Analyze/Documenter

the documenter worked well enough, but i only need the field names! my
assistant runs the report while i'm on the muni on my way in to work, then
*poof* my report is ready when i get there based on the list of field names i
chose. thank you very much!!!

Hi Carole,

Try Jeff Conrad's new tool, available on his web site:
