Hi,
Have a few strange problems. On a Panasonic Notebook, having problems
accessing the windows update and office update page. When I go to the
windows update page, I get a blank page, no errors or anything. If I
manually type in the V5 windows update site, the screen loads, but will not
scan the notebook.
When I go to the office update site, I can click on check for updates, but
when it goes to the next screen, its just blank. I can`t seem to get either
to show any updates. Now if I let automatic updates run for Windows XP SP1,
it can find the updates and install them.
I am logged in under the admin account and having these problems. I can`t
even use disk defrag, the defrag window will come up, but nothing will
function. The system is virus free, did adware/spyware checks, both virus
check from our local server and a online check as well. The system is
running XP SP1, haven`t had the chance to get this on updated to SP2. Right
now doing sfc /scannow to see if any system files were corrupted. Any
suggestions? Thanks.
