Feedback - Updating definitions

Mike

When spyware definitions have been updated, please don't
tell me about it and force me to click a button to make
the dialog go away. This usually happens while I'm in the
middle of typing an email or something, and it's very
annoying. I just want anti-spyware to work, without
getting in my face every day. I'm sure you want to remind
me of how Microsoft is working hard to protect my
computer, but it's really not necessary. Please, just
make it work quietly in the background.

I kinda agree with you on this or atleast have a counter that informs you it
will disappear within a few seconds, 10, 15.

Hi Mike,

Lets' open the product, and go to Options--->Tools. I think you'll find the
checkboxes you were wishing for.

Ah--but do they work?

FWIW, I believe that Microsoft has heard the feedback that the program is,
in some ways, "too talky." I can't speak to this particular issue, but I
would expect to see some changes in future versions.

I think you mean Options --> Settings. I already have the
option checked to apply definition updates without
interrupting me. Which it does... but when it finishes
applying the definition updates, THAT'S when it
interrupts me!
