FBI Alerts about services in XP Home

A year ago there were two FBI alerts concerning XP
services that came started by default and needed turning
off. One was, I think, about SSDP. ANyone remember these
or know of others? thanks

Not sure what you mean, although a properly configured firewall as
well as all the latest Critical Updates goes a long way to protecting
the computer from known problems.

Probably UPnP (universal plug and play)
