Favourites have disappeard

A Google bar containing Bookmarks has appeared (I must have asked for it) but the IE bar containing my Favourites has gone. Where? All the sites I saved in Favourites are gone or hidden somewhere.

If someone can kindly advise me how to retrieve Favourites, I would be most obliged.

Top left hand side of the browser , look at "View" or "Tools" you should find all your toolbars . I think , I use FF so it may be a bit different .
