Go to Start -> Run and enter Favorites in the Open box.
Click OK.
Delete the shortcuts you want removed.
Note: You can also open this folder by right clicking on Favorites on the Start
menu and selecting Open from the menu. You should end up with this folder opened
substituting then name of your user account where you see YourAccount.
C:\Documents and Settings\YourAccount\Favorites
If that doesn't get the job done, you might want to post your question in the
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general newsgroup.
