Favorites Not Recognized

I recently (finally) switched to Earthlink's DSL. In the process of loading
their lame software, IE6 was reloaded and my Favorites were not carried over
to that particular IE6. I have found my original favorites but have not
been able to import them. When using the import/export wizard, I can point
to the location of the folder but I received a message that it cannot be
found. I know it's there with all the favorites in place, but either IE or
WinXP doesn't like what I'm doing. I've gone to the Properties Tab for the
folder and changed the files from read only to unread but it still say it
can't find the file I'm pointing to. I have the favorites folder save in
various locations now, in my failed pursuit, including a floppy, but nothing
seems to work. Any ideas?

Thanks!
David

Try copying your Favorites directly into the C:\Documents and Settings\[User
Name]\Favorites directory without doing an import. That's how I moved mine
from my old system to my new. No import necessary.
