Can anyone tell me if there is a way to save all the items on my favorites
list to my traveldrive ...backing up my files and these are really important

If you're referring to the Internet Explorer Favourites list, the Favourites
folder can be simply copied to another location via drag and drop or copy
and paste.

This is the default location:
C:\Documents and Settings\<account name>\Favorites

In IE you can also go to File, Import and Export, and export cookies and
favourites.
