Receiving the message below, I followed the troubleshooting steps and ended
up with the subject fault bucket. I'd appreciate some help on it. My
computer is a new HP with Vista Ultimate.

"Ethernet networking problem. You received this message because hardware or
software in your computer caused Windows to shut down unexpectedly and
restart. This is a serious problem, commonly referred to as a stop error or
blue screen.
Although the specific cause of this problem is not known, it appears to be
related to Ethernet networking."

Hi,

So the first step would be to download the most recent driver release from
HP's site for your model and install them over the current ones.

As the computer is new, you should also call for warranty support in case
the problem is faulty or damaged hardware.
