fatal error LNK1000: Internal error during LIB::Search

I have several projects that are tided together by a solution to form a .LIB
file. When I change each of the 35 projects "Use Managed Extensions" to YES,
when I compile and link I get the "Fatal error LNK1000: Internal error during
LIB::Search". All I did was changed it to be managed as per the writeups for
IJW to use legacy code in a managed Visual Studio 7.0 environment.
Does anyone have any idea what it going on and what I can do to fix this?
