Fast backup software for Win XP

I am at present using Handy Backup (http://www.handybackup.com/) to
backup to spare separate HD.
But it is SO slow!
Can anyone recommend a (preferably freeware) backup program that is
fast.
Basically, I want to:
1) backup all files that have changed since last backup (I used to use
xcopy with the /d option)
2) delete certain files in a specific directory and then backup the
latest files in there
e.g. delete all .zip files in D:\My Docs\Zips\ then copy all the .zip
files from E:\My Docs\Zips\ to D:\My Docs\Zips\
3) be able to have the backup run at different time options e.g. 3 times
a day at times I choose; only workdays, once a week etc.

Ideas anyone?

I like SecondCopy, but it's not free. Only about $39 though and very
versatile.
