ALL,
I'm looking to improve our network here at work and I've noticed that people
have made software that monitors SMART / for hard drives and fan monitors
(DCOM).
Fans and harddrives seem to be the most failing things here at work. I
would like to know if anyone here has seen software that monitors both and
can e-mail an admin if say the hard drive devlopes bad sectors in event
viewer, or the CPU fan drops under a set RPM. Anyone here seen anything like
this... so far I've checked out speedfan and some other free/shareware
downloads. I'm checking out Intel's default motherboard monitor software.
it would be nice to have a simple hardware reporting tool built in to the XP
platform that can warn the admin of the two most common failures in the PC
world.
Thanks in advance!
