False detection of serial mice

Paal

Hi!

During the boot sequence, XP scans all serial ports to
detect any serial mice. In WinNT, it was possible to
disable this scan by adding the command "NoSerialMice" to
the boot.ini file. This was to avoid perpheral hardware
connected by the serial ports to be detected as a mouse.

I am still having the same problem, now with Win XP, but
the "NoSerialMice" does not work. Is there any similar
solution in XP?

My XP does not have "NoSerialMice" option set up and I do not have any
problems. Please describe, in detail, your original problem.
