Failure to save data entered in User Info under Tools

A spurious entry has found its way into the User Info under Tools in my
version of Word. This spurious entry returns whenever I shut down or leave
Word after entering the correct information. This happens whether I correct
all the information using the User Info screen under Tool>Options or just by
accepting (!) the the programs promise to make my changes when I call for
printing of an envelope. Any help?

Which version of Word is this? Are you on a network, with an admin that
controls settings and Registry entries? Can you give an example of what you're
changing (in Tools/Options/User Info) and what it's reverting to?

Thanks for your reply. Sorry to be so long getting back. I am not very
comfortable with this format.
In reply to yor questions:
1) My version of Word is "For Windows 95. Version 7.0."
2) I am not on a network.
3) When I go to print an envelope the return address that always greets me,
assuming I have just entered Word, is "jblonglety". (I noted, while checking
out my version of the program, that this exact combination of letters is
given as the name of the person to whom this particular copy of Word is
licensed.) What I want to appear is my real address, which is:
J B Longley
Apt 2801
800 S 4th St
Louisville, KY 40203.
If I enter this at the beginning it survives as long as I stay in Word, but
even if I have said that I want to keep the change after entering the correct
return address to get going, "jblonglety" always shows up next time around.

best way to tackle this (unless you can get hold of anyone who knows
Word 7 well enough, not unlikely in here): setup the envelopes once in
the way you like them, then save the whole thing as a document template.
