Hi,

The windows XP pro machine is connected to the Win2K
domain network. Occassionally, it failed to connect to
all network drives when logon. Sometimes, it takes a
while to logon too. This computer is setup to look for IP
automatically. Do you know what causing the problem?

Thanks

Billy

Networking info would help, but it sounds like perhaps the
machine is not configured to use a W2k DC as it's primary
DNS server. XP requires this, or it will fail and
eventually timeout to use netbios (NTLM) security via the
PDC emulator.

How to double check into this? It is an XP Pro machine
and it is configured to obtain IP and other sort of info
from the DHCP server.

Thanks
