SP2 failed to install because the DEP module in XP2 is the problem
according to a Microsoft Support reply .
I have the options to uninstall the Mpegport.sys driver or turn off the
DEP "thing" .
Um , my computer does not have the Mpegport.sys driver and I think I
can follow the instructions to turn off the DEP .
XP2 has additional DEP whatsits .
Will my Windows Home Edition with the Windows XP2 Windows Update XP2
operate without losing any functionality or security without the original
Windows XP Home Edition DEP that I remove or disable or what I will do by
following the instructions on the kbid 878474 page ...please
