Failure Audit error locks computer

Seem to have a proplem I hope someone can point me in the
right direction to fixing it.
Quite a number of times during the day the computer locks
up and will not respond. Ctrl/Alt/Del won't even work. I
have to reboot.
This is the error that is showing up in:

Controle Panel/Administrative tools/Event Viewer/Security/
an error is displayed " Failure Audit"

This is the message I get when I go to details. Not much
help:):

There is no additional information about this issue in the
Error and Event Log Messages or Knowledge Base databases
at this time. You can use the links in the Support area to
determine whether any additional information might be
available elsewhere.
