Failover DHCP

Greetings,
I have one Windows 2003 server DHCP server running in an NT environment. I
searched on-line, such as Microsoft's site and Windows .NET magazine, for
information on setting up a failover DHCP. The only solutions I find are a
few years old suggesting clustered DHCP or the 80/20 rule. Does anyone know
another solution?

Unfortunately there is none. You can't run two DHCP servers on the same
range - well, you can, but they won't communicate with each other and the
results will be havoc.

Have you checked out the DHCP Export/Import tool from Microsoft? You can
use this to back up existing DHCP lease and reservation information, then
restore it to another DHCP server. In the event of failure of a DHCP server
you can quickly install DHCP to a second server then use the backed-up
information to restore the DHCP server database to the new server.
